Inspired by Candy - Love To Create Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today I have a card which I made for Love To Create (LTC) challenge - this week we are being sponsored by Meljens.  They have some really cute digis, and I choose 'Cupcake Sitter' (mainly because she is adorable) and our theme is 'Inspired by Candy'.  My inspiration just happened to come from my favorite candy.

Whilst searching for photos of the candy I came across this image of the 'retro box' (I love it!!!!)
Here is a picture of the card I created.

I printed my image, coloured her with ProMarkers and then cut her out by hand.  The papers are just 'scraps' from my stash, as are the heart shaped brads - I think originally they all came from Hobby Lobby.

Take a peek over at LTC to check out all the creations by the DT - I can almost guarantee two things:
(1) You will certainly be inspired; and (2) You will leave feeling hungry.  (Now where did I put the Good and Plenty?)

See you next time.

Always

Hi Everyone

Today Sassy Studios are sponsoring two challenges - Hobby Cutz  ('Lace and Pearls') and Glitter n Sparkle (add Metal).  Here is my card using Belle Pinup.

I used my Cameo to cut the easel card, and coloured the image with my Promarkers.  The metal tag, lace, pearls and sentiment stamp (Stampin' Up) are from my stash.

I hope you will take a peek over at Sassy Studios and look at what the DT have come up with to inspire you.  Don't forget to join in with the challenges to win some Sassy Images of your own.

See you next time.

From Russia With Love

Hi Everyone

Today my card is doing 'double duty' as I made it for two challenges that are being sponsored by Sassy Studios.  The first challenge is from Feeling Sketchy using this sketch.

The second challenge is from Through The Purple Haze, where the challenge is to make a project inspired by a 'Book, Film or Song.'  Here is my card.

The image I used is Russia Honey, and as always she is coloured completely with ProMarkers. The paper I used is from DCWV  'Winter Magic'.

The bows for the snowflakes are cut using a Memory Box die, and the snowflakes themselves are a Martha Stewart punch - the gem in the centre is is also coloured with ProMarkers to match.

Here is a peek at the inside.

So there you have my 'From Russia With Love' card.  I hope you will take a look over at Sassy Studios to see what some of the other DT members have created.

Until next time.

Drink Me If You Dare

Hi Everyone

I have a very quick post today for a project that I made for the Vampire and Skeleton Challenge being hosted between Simply Betty Stamps and The Stamping Chef.  I decided to use 'Bite Me' the image designed by Tamara of The Stamping Chef, she challenged us to use 'SPLATTER' on our projects. Here is mine.

Thought this would be a ghoulish addition to the celebrations on Halloween.

Betty from Simply Betty Stamps, also created a fun image for this challenge, but sadly I ran out of time to complete two projects.  All the entries in the challenge can be seen here.

Until next time.

Here is my Halloween card featuring 'Captain America Sassy'.

It's tough to see from the picture but the 'silver/grey' areas of her stockings, costume and shield are painted with Stardust stickles, so she is quite shiny.  I was a little worried about how to incorporate this image on a Halloween card, but I love what I ended up with.  Here is a closer look.

And 'no' that is not a typo, it does say 'trump' - blame it on my lavatorial sense of humor!  Here is what is says inside.

Just had to finish this off with a matching envelope.

Thanks for taking a peek at my project.  Your next stop along the way is Adina's Blog - she always has something fun and fabulous up her sleeve.

Don't forget to leave your comments, and then check back on Wednesday 25th at the Sassy Studios Blog to see if you are one of the winners.

'Make It Shine' - Creative Fingers Challenge

Hi Everyone

There is a new challenge today over at Creative Fingers, the theme is 'Make It Shine'.  Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine.

The artist, Heather, has some really cute stamps in her store - I chose 'Bubbles Galore' to create my project with.

This cute little box is a file from the Silhouette online store (ID No. 37498)  I cut it out using card stock from DCWV .Glitzy Glitter Stack (Brights)  I cut out the image using my Cameo to print 'n' cut then coloured her with ProMarkers.

The swirl is cut with a Memory Box Die, the butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch and finished off with a few 'gems'.

The photos don't quite do it justice, the paper is quite glitzy and with the gems and a little glossy accents on the bubble she is blowing, it really does 'shine'.

I hope you will pop over to Creative Fingers and take a look at all the projects from the DT.  Join us for the challenge, you could be walking away with some of your own cute Lacy Sunshine digis.

Until next time.

Time Flies...even outside your comfort zone!

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at The Bugbytes.  I have one of my very favorite cards to show you, that I actually made sometime ago - it's a Steampunk.  I know I am a little 'late to the game' but I really love Steampunk - took me a while to get used to as it is a little 'out of my comfort zone', but it is so much fun.

The image I have used is from Aurella Art check out her store, she has some of the most beautiful images. This one is called 'Steampunk Telsa' - I found her quite a challenge to colour (this was my third attempt!)

The image is coloured with ProMarkers, the background paper is from 7Gypsies and the wings and sentiment are made using my Cameo.

Of course I had to finish this one off with an envelope.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
  1. Paperminutes - Vintage Women
  2. Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
  3. Crafty Cardmakers - Winged Things (hope the flying clock counts!)
  4. Creative Cutting Challenge - Anything Goes (die cut frame and winged clock)
  5. Parade Your Crafts - Birthdays
  6. Crafting Musketeers - Vintage

Thanks Pam for having me over to visit your blog.  I hope I have inspired you to take a step outside your comfort zone - you may be surprised at what you find.

If Friends Were Flowers - TCCCB

Hi Everyone

Today there is a new challenge over at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog (TCCCB), so I have a little DT inspiration for you.  The theme for the challenge is 'Flowers' and we are sponsored this week by Fred She Said.

Here is my easel card using the 'Happy Flowers - Rainbow Collection'.

This is a collection pack of pre-coloured images, and has tons of options, check it out here.  All I did was add a little stickles and layered a second flower on top of the first to add some dimension.

Here is a closer look at the sentiment which is computer generated with a Lettering Delights font.

Don't forget to stop by TCCB, check out the rest of the inspiration from the DT and join in with the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
