Stamped Candle (Prima Doll)

Hi Everyone

Today is my last Prima Doll project for this month over at A Scrap N Place - thank you Terri.  No cards or tags today, but rather I have stamped the image on to a candle.

I'm sure many of you have done this before, but if not here is a great video showing you all the steps.  Here are the products I used.

  • Prima Doll Stamp
  • Tissue paper
  • Candle
  • Markers
  • Stamp (from Stampin’ Up)
  • Ribbon

A very quick and simple project which makes the perfect little gift.

See you next time.

LTC Challenge #113 'Pearls and Bling'

Hi Everyone

Time for a new challenge over at Love To Create.  This week are sponsored by Flourish With A Bling and The Stamping Chef.  The theme of our challenge this week is 'Pearls and Bling'.

For my card I used this image called Demented Beauty.

The paper is from a Recollections stack called 'Steampunk Botanica'  and has just a touch of sparkle to it to give a little 'bling', and I used some brown pearls on the top of her corset - here is a close-up.

I created the sentiment using an LD font and my Silhouette Sketch pens.

I also made this simple tag using the 'vine' from FWAB.

Don't forget to check out all the other projects by the DT, and come on over to Love To Create and join in with the challenge.

Until next time.

SSD April Release - 'Frozen'

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs April Release and Blog Hop.

You should have arrived here from Karal's blog, but if you have just happened upon us by chance you may want to start at the beginning at Sassy Studios.  I think everyone on the DT was so excited when Lindsay told us her images for this release were based on the movie 'Frozen' - you don't have to have young girls to enjoy these images and Sentimints, as you will see throughout the hop with all the DT projects.

My project is using Coronation Elsa - isn't she beautiful?  My youngest daughter loves this movie, and I have already promised her this bag for her 21st birthday next year (so really this doesn't just appeal to 'little' girls)  I used my Cameo to print n cut the image and coloured her with ProMarkers.

This gift bag was one that one of my daughters received ages ago and it was just too pretty to throw away (that seems to happen a lot in this house!)  I loved the colours, and thought how well it would go with Elsas's coronation outfit (I know they are not exact, but I like them.)  I have used one of the new SENTIMINTS "First time in forever" and added a computer generated "You're
21!"

Something new I tried with this bag were the Silhouette double-sided adhesive sheets.  I cut out the snowflake flourishes (file from the Silhouette online store), weeded them (a little bit of a PITA!) and covered them in MS antique silver glitter.

Your next stop along the way is Melissa's blog.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my project.  Here is a complete list of all the stops on the hop.

Michelle's Blog (you are here)

Then between 5.00 and 7.00pm PST don't forget to join us all over at

Sassy Studios Party Blog

I hope you will join us later to chat on the party blog - you never know who will turn up, what we will get chatting about, or what surprises are in store.

Shiver Me Timbers - SBS FaceBook Fan Page Challenge

Hi Everyone

I finally finished my card for the Simply Betty Stamps March Fan Page Challenge.  I have had these little images cut out and printed for sometime, and was scratching my head a as to how to put them into a project.  Here is what I did (there are a few photos, and please don't forget to check the video at the end.)

Here is the outside of the card, and where I added my twine (part of the challenge requirement.)

Open it up to reveal three sassy pirates.

Here is a close up of each one.

The background map is from a Silhouette online file, each of the images I printed and cut with my Cameo and then coloured with ProMarkers.  Then just for a bit of fun I added an action wobble spring to each of them, take a look at them 'move' in the video (I think they all look like they've been knocking back the rum!)

Thanks for stopping by to check out my project today.  See you next time.

Girlfriends Card

Hi Everyone

Today my DT card for A Scrap N Place, is probably one of my favorites so far.  I decided to use just the top half of the Prima Doll stamps for this card.

Here are the products I used.

  • Prima Doll Stamp
  • Green card stock (Bazzil)
  • Copper card stock
  • Brown Swirl card stock (Canvas Corp)
  • Pearls
  • Sentiment  (computer generated)
  • ProMarkers (or any alcohol markers for colouring)
What I really love about this project is that I only used a couple of sheets of card stock (one plain, one patterned) and a few coordinating markers.  Here are a few close-ups.

Thanks for stopping by today.

LTC - Monochromatic and Ribbon

Hi Everyone

Time for a new challenge over at Love To Create, and this week our fabulous sponsor is Artbymiran.

For my card I used an image called "Winter Sofia" - isn't she just lovely?  I decided to colour the card all in grey and just use a little stickles and wink of stella pens for added interest on the snow/snowflakes.

I ran the silver card through a snowflake embossing folder, and added the 'perfect bow' thanks to my friend Carole (On My Craft Room Wall) for gifting me the Craft-Dee Bowz tool - no ribbon is safe from me now!

Here is a close-up of the stickles on the snow.

I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge at Love To Create, and check out all the great projects by the DT.

See you next time.

Sassy Studios Monthly Progressive Challenge April - "For The Ladies"

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the beginning of our monthly progressive challenge over on our FaceBook Fan Page. This will be our 12th challenge, and I really encourage you to join us - there are some fabulous creations from the participants.

Each  month on our FB page Lindsay gives away a free sassy image for you to create with, and this month it is a great image for creating a card or gift for Mother's Day.  Our theme this month is 'For The Ladies' - a project for a gift card. Here is my project.

When you open up the card, it has a little pocket to hold a gift card, or certificate that you have made yourself.

This box is from a file from the Silhouette online store (the paper I used is from DCWV 'Lady Couture' stack)

Of course it need a label that would match the card.

And then a few extra goodies (decorated of course) inside.

So if you would like to join us for the challenge with this image, here is what you need to do (and of course there are a couple of rules):

  • Send a request for the image to ssdpcp@gmail.com
  • You MUST use the Monthly Progressive Sassy Studio Designs image
  • You MUST create a project based on the current challenge theme
  • You have until 11:59pm EDT on May 13th to upload your creation in the Monthly Progressive Challenge #12 album.  (Your photo has to be uploaded to the album to be eligible for the prize)
  • You may enter as often as you wish during the month long time
  • By accepting the SSD freebie image, you agree to follow the SSD Terms of Use
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my project - I can't wait to see your creations.

Simple Tag (Prima Doll)

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place, and I have another Prima Doll project for you all.  It is just a very simple tag - this time I did a little paper piecing with her clothes (I felt like a little girl again.)

Here are the products I used.
  • Prima Doll Stamp
  • Authentique Paper – Abroad Collection “Away”
  • Glitz ‘Yours Truly’ 6 x 6 paper pack
  • Ribbon
  • Black pearls
Here are a couple of close-ups.

What I especially loved about this project was the sentiment, it comes from the top of the 12 x 12 Authentique paper - you know the part we usually trim off and throw away?  I have decided that from here on in I am going to check those strips of paper and cut off the sentiments/quotes and save them for my projects.

See you next time.

  • White card stock
  • White gel pen
  • ‘Clear Star’ gel pen
