New Kids On The Block? (A Scrap N Place)

Hi Everyone

Looking at my projects today for A Scrap N Place, you could be forgiven for thinking that there were some new Prima doll stamps on the block (yes, pun intended!)  Nope!  No new dolls, but these projects are created from a 'mash-up' of these stamps.

I just got to thinking how much fun it would be to mix and match these little cuties, and here is what I came up with...

Here is a closer look.  I used some sunglasses brads, the hat and bag are from the Prima 'Boutique' set.  If you look closely you will see that the chain on the bag is cut from the 'Birdhouse Village' die from Memory Box that I used last week.  The paper is by BoBunny 'Primrose'.

My second tag couldn't be more different, even though I used the same stamps.  All papers for this were from my stash.

With hair like that you can bet that this young lady has attitude!

With just a few snips here and there you can make your doll stamps go so much further - let me know what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Birdhouses

Hi Everyone

Back today with a couple more cards for A Scrap N Place.  Once again I am using the Memory Box die 'Birhouse Village'.

These dies are such fun to play with, I loved mixing and matching the papers for the houses (Bo Bunny 'Primrose'.)  Here are a couple of close-ups.

I used an embossing folder on the background and cut the grass strip with scissors.

The branch on this card is also a Memory Box die, the flowers are punched using a Marvy punch and the sentiment is a stamp from Stampin' Up.

Thanks Terri for having me over at your blog today, and thank you for stopping by to check out my projects.

Thanks Berry Much

Hi Everyone

Here is my project today for A Scrap N Place, as always thanks for having me Terri.  I actually made this project using my Silhouette Cameo, but there are plenty of templates for this that you can cut by hand if you do a search on the internet.

These are great little favors to make, and with the Cameo you are able to re-size them to fit different types of goodies inside.  These are a bit on the larger size so that they can hold a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

After I cut out the template I ran it though the 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder.  I threaded green embroidery floss through the holes and tied it together, place the leaf on top and then the little label (the sentiment is computer generated, and punched out with the tiny tag punch from Stampin' Up.)

Thanks 'berry much' for stopping by today.

Happy 'Bird Day' (and a couple of extras)

Hi Everyone

Well after a long absence I am finally back to crafting - breaking both of your arms can seriously put a 'kink' in your crafting ability!

This is my first post back as designer for A Scrap N Place, and so I thought that I would spoil Terri with 3 projects!  My first is a very simple birthday card using the new Memory Box die 'Birdhouse Village'.

How cute are those little houses?  The paper I used is from BoBunny called 'Primrose'.

I love the colours in this paper, so I got a little carried away and made two more projects with it.

These little treat holders are made using the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board.  I took at 5" square sheet of paper, punched and scored it at 2.5" on all four sides - just fold, stick in place, and there you have it.  I just added a couple of butterflies (Martha Stewart punch) and a little bling.

The second treat holder I secured with a bow (also made using the punch board) on a 'belly band'.

These are so simple to make, a quick search on Pinterest will lead you to a ton of tutorials that will have you making these up in no time at all.

See you next time.

Sing Out Loud (and a quick update)

Hi Everyone

My quick update is that 2 weeks ago I broke both my arms from falling off my bike (wish I could tell you it was something more exciting ;) )  As you can imagine this has put all crafting on hold for a few more weeks.  Fortunately I had already made my projects for Terri over at A Scrap N Place, so she is very kindly photographing my projects and posting them on her blog - thanks soooo much Terri.

Here is my first project.

For more details please check out A Scrap N Place.

Little 'Love Convict' Card (A Scrap N Place)

Hi Everyone

Thanks Terri for having me over at A Scrap N Place as guest designer today.  I have another card today using the Bo Bunny 'Love Letters' paper and one of the Prima dolls.  When I finished paper piecing this doll, I thought that she looked like she had a convicts outfit on, hence the project name.

The sentiments down the side of the card are  from the 'Love Letter' sticker sheet.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project today.  See you next time.

Family Scrabble Wall Art

Hi Everyone

Today I have another home decor project to share with you - this one I actually did last year but never shared it on my blog.

These are actually 6x6 canvases, the letters are cut out with vinyl (using the Silhouette Cameo)  I used grey acrylic paint to highlight the letters where our name intersected.  This really was a very simple project to make, the only difficulties came when my husband (with his OCD tendencies!) had to hang them STRAIGHT.

Quite pleased with how it turned out, I think I may try to add some photos to canvas to add to this arrangement.

See you next time.

Happily Ever After (A Scrap N Place)

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place - thank you Terri for having me.  Today I have a very special card using both a Julie Nutting Prima Doll and the Jeremiah guy stamp from C Thru The Woods.  I had the idea in my head for a cute couple sitting at a soda fountain sharing one drink with two straws.  This is what I came up with.

I used a file from the Silhouette online store to cut out the awning and shop front, then used a wood-grain washi tape to finish it off.  Here is a look at the inside.

I used 'Love Letters' paper and stickers from Bo Bunny for the background and sentiment.  The root beer float is also a file from the silhouette store cut using my Cameo.

I used a piece of acetate to make the widow, and cut the word 'Cafe' from some frosted vinyl.

I love how this card turned out, and whilst I made it with Valentines in mind, this would also make a great engagement or anniversary card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

No Disguising It Card

Hi Everyone

Time for another C Thru The Woods Guy Stamp card - this time using Charlie.

It was fun to add some brad sunglasses and a mustache (Impression Obsession die) - Charlie is coloured completely with ProMarkers, the background paper is from Teresa Collins 'Family Stories', and the sentiment is computer generated.  The sentiment inside simply reads 'I love you.'

Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Simple Valentines Day Cards (A Scrap N Place)

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place - thanks Terri for having me.  Today I have 2 very quick and easy Valentines Day cards for you, both of these I found on Pinterest.  The first one is a really cute idea, especially if you have a large quantity to make.

Such a quick and easy card, all you need are some 'googley' eyes, a heart and some rub-on or sticky letters.

My second card is a little more elegant, and could be used as an anniversary or wedding card.

I used a fine Sharpie marker to draw the lines, some die cut hearts and a little bling.

The sticker sentiment is from Bo Bunny 'Love Letters' sticker sheet.

Thanks for stopping by today.  See you soon.

"Life Is Better At The Beach"

Hi Everyone

Today I have something a little different, a home decor project using a glass block.  I have seen lots of projects using glass blocks, etching cream and Christmas lights, but I wanted something a little different that I could have on display year round.

This is one of my favorite family photos from our holiday last year in Siesta Key FL, the sand and shells are also from there too.  There is a large rectangular hole in the top of this block - large enough to fit a 4x6 photo in, which is then covered with the tulle.

All that was needed to finish it off was a sentiment that I cut out of vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo.

I also added some paper from Authentique to the back of the photo, with info as the where/when the picture was taken.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project today - thanks for stopping by.

Special Delivery Guy Card

Hi Everyone

I have a card today using Andrew one of the guy stamps from C Thru The Woods.

The background paper is from Bo-Bunny 'Love Letters', He is coloured with ProMarkers, his suit is paper pieced and I added a Peachy Keen 'Groom' face stamp.  How romantic would it be if a guy dressed like this turned up on your doorstep with a single red rose?

Charlene has had a few problems with posting some of the DT's projects on the C Thru The Woods Blog, if you have missed any of my projects you can see them on Lady of Leisure Ink Face Book Page and also C Thru The Woods Face Book Page.

Thanks for stopping by.

I Love Every Inch of You (A Scrap N Place)

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place - as always thank you Terri for having me.  I have a tag today that I made using one of the Julie Nutting Prima Dolls - you know how I love playing with these dolls.

This tag could be used for Valentines Day, or any other day you want to let someone know how special they are.  Do you recognize this doll?  I really did play around with her, even giving her a new hairstyle.

The background paper is 'Love Letters' by Bo Bunny - I really loved this unusual colour combo.  I used some 'tape' ribbon for the side and rub-on letters for the sentiment.  The hearts I cut using a very old sizzix die.

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek at my project.  See you next time.

SBS January Fan Page Challenge (and me in digi!)

Hi Everyone

Today I have a card for the new Simply Betty Stamps Fan Page Challenge, and I an so excited because the digi image is me! Thank you so much Betty, I love her/me! Here is my card.

I just love what Betty does with her images.  The challenge for my image is to use purple and sparkle (bling, glitter,etc..)  Here are some close-ups.

The sentiment is computer generated with a 'Frozen' font.

It is difficult to see from the photo but I have added Wink of Stella glitter to the heart, and used purple glitter card stock, the image is coloured with ProMarkers.  Another little touch that I added are the glasses (an Impression Obsession die.)

Here is a look at the inside with Betty's cute sentiment.

Hop on over to Betty's Fan Page Challenge and check out all the cute new images and what all the designers have done with them.

See you next time.
